Leys Orchestra is looking forward to bringing an exciting and varied programme to Ōrewa in July.
The concert features talented young soloist Emily Rendall in the warm and gentle Ballade for Flute and Orchestra by Carl Reinecke. She will also play three dances from Bach’s Suite No. 2, and Piazzolla's Tango Etude for solo flute.
Lysenko's stirring Prayer for Ukraine contrasts with bright dances by Beethoven and the balletic humour of Clog Dance by John Lanchbery.
Nostalgic childhood piano music and Marsden's enigmatic Funeral March of a Bumblebee round out the programme.
